I was watching the news and two stories caught my eye.
1. It has been proposed that reservation(for SC's, BC's, OBC's, LT's, dimwits, morons) be increased in higher education institution and even IIT's and IIM's, by 27% to a total of 50%.
2. Harayana is attracting alot of companies, foreign and domestic, to setup shop there.
Here is why.
1. The news of the reservation quota being increased should not have come out before the UP elections. But for obvious reasons (so that those people I mentioned above (dimwits and all) will vote for the proponents of the law and be in power. Of course the BJP has said this is against election conduct rules).
What this means statistically is the joke that goes "out of every 100 people in your class 10 will be idiots" will now become "out of every 100 people in your class 50 will be idiots".
The reason I call them idiots is because quite frankly ...all people under reservations are.
The reason the reservation system was introduced is because apparently, they were "the oppressed castes" about 100-150 years ago.
And it stays now because they are economically backward. Well of course they are economically backward. They want to ride through life on their caste certificates and don't want to work hard.
If they had the brains maybe they would realise that and make themselves "economically forward"(can you say that?)
The only reservations I will ever agree to is to student's who have excellent grades and can't afford to go to great schools and colleges, irrespective of caste. I don't even mind paying 1.5 times the fees if it helps them out, from the extra that I pay. But just plain old caste reservation sucks.
No wonder we don't progress very much. Of course, I am in the open category and so feel strongly about the whole situation.
In this day and age, am I not "the oppressed" one now. Hows that for irony "the oppressed" oppressed me, "the unopressed"!?!?!?!
Catch more over here.
2. Haryana is attracting a lot of foreign and domestic companies. This is because they are giving them SEZs (special economic zones). Don't know the exact details... may be the companies get a tax break or something. Reliance petrochemicals is planning to open their biggest refinery in Haryana soon. Even bigger than the one in Jamnagar.
Even DLF is moving to Haryana (and one more company whose name escapes me).
And why not move to Haryana?. If your company's labourers go on strike..just call the Harayana Police and they will beat the workers like dogs and get them back to work.(Read this to get that last one)

ok..
i am the anonymous...
and i could not reply because i had WORK in life..
and if any of you think i am a moron or dont have balls (as mak said) ask him only for the details...
Anyways..
i dont read blogs and i came here just because mak ASKED me to come...
sorry to reply at some irrelevant place but for me any section on blogspot is the same... a big waste of time.
rajeev: Good for you! Obviously, you don't like creativity in the writing and reading dept.!!! Got any hobbies?! Wonder if people comment at your hobbies as "jobless"!
PS: thanks for letting us know your name!
ms surbhi...
i dont want to make this personal but i really dont think there is any kind of creativity in blogging.
as we have started it let me make my words clear...
the comment i had written was for the previous blog in which mayank talks about problems of india.
now let me ask you one thing..
what difference did that blog make???
just writing some bullshit is not going to make any difference anywhere.
you should put things into action to see the changes...
all the people who replied to that blog agreed to what he said, but how many of them ever did anything about such thing.. i bet none.
so all i want to say is people blog because they find it as a good passtime (maybe its a hobby for you, no issues with that).
no hard feelings, but i prefer doing things rather than talking (and making no difference)or not talking about them at all...
HAHAHAHAHA!!
Rajeev: How can you say no one did anything about it?! Coz someone did. And Mayank's post wasn't a waste, it was motivating... it spread awareness to those who didn't know anything about it... and basically instilled a feeling to do something about it. Now, if you are brave enough, you would do it. Why look at everything so negatively? Maybe Mayank should blog on how negative energy is bad to be around!!
PS: Mayank only jotted down how he felt on some issues... that he wanted to share with his readers... ain't nothing wrong with that! In fact, it's very healthy!
Ms Surbhi...
Looks like our argument has no end...
So its better if we keep doing what we prefer....
Looks impossible since you live in the US, but i would love to have a discussion with you on this topic face to face...
Anyway happy blogging...
First things first....please post comments in the appropriate places...
1) Raju: What difference did may blog ?
Well nothing changes overnight. I put forth my opinions thoughts and beliefs to try and make people realise what is wrong and try and do something about it themselves. Did nobody do anything to change? YOU DON't KNOW that. I do know YOU didn't. I dont even see you trying.
Gandhi didn't spread his idea and non violence by lying in bed and thinking about them ...he spoke to people. My medium is my blog. (please note analogy used here. I am not likening myself to Gandhi and neither do i want to.)
2) Your comment "people who have no work in life blog...
i dont need to speak more i guess..."
was like most of your opinions, uncalled for.
So what if i asked you to read my blog? You were supposed to read and comment on what i wrote, like nithin did. Then Fuck off. No need to attack the blogging community at large.
3) As for blogging and blogs being a waste of time....trust me some on the STUPID WASTE OF TIME things you have done...make you the king of this arena.
4)Debating about you having or not having balls is a waste of time.
Knowing rajeev...arguing with him is quite useless. He is kind of a robot in certain things. Set in his beliefs and not willing to listen to anything contrary and wants to convince others of his ways...kind of like those people who try to convert people to christianty. The level of stubborness is high and the justification can sometimes be weak or baseless.
ok dude...
now most of things YOU wrote here were uncalled for..
and sorry to say this but you were very unpolite in saying whatever you said, when i maintained my dignity throughout..
so let me finish it your style..
if you are not man enough to take criticism then go fuck your self, and stop begging people to read your shitty blog..
And if you feel too great after whatever you said about me then let me tell you...
"jinke apne ghar sheeshe ke ho, vo dusro ke gharo me patthar nahi pheka karte..."
clarification ...only the last point (no .4) and maybe the robot thing was a bit called for(you started it)...
the rest were totally dignified, valid and were replies to you questions/comments.
Blogging is somehting i like and do; calling that a WASTE of time and that i absolutely have no WORK IN LIFE...yes very polite and dignified...
As for taking criticism ...you criticised the point of blogging not what i wrote about...totally irrelevent ad uncalled for.
I asked you to read my blog ...NOT beg you.
as for your quote...not quite sure what you are trying to say...(i have a phd in hindi init?)
About what you said : "And if you feel too great after whatever you said about me then let me tell you...".
I am actually not happy about the fact that i had to do that in response...
I don't like fights on my blog...i like healthy discussions with varied view points about the subject in question.
mak-d: You've got my back!!
And yes, please let's not fight! You want to read, then read and comment on the post... if you've got other opinions on things then I'd suggest.. lol.. to start a blog and write about it THERE (not here)! =P
wow!!!! would be lying if i said i wasn't a bit shocked on readin the above posts.
Would also be lyin if i said i dint fall of my chair laffin:):).
But anyways...in all seriousness..It was a good fight:):). I stick by my principle of never gettin in between a fight and remain an "innocent" bystander:)
Haha this is bloody hilarious Rajeev at his best... Mak hows the hindi phd going man..
mak said : "clarification ...only the last point (no .4) and maybe the robot thing was a bit called for(you started it)..."
called or uncalled for huh????? what u getting at.. Rajeev how can u take these subtle mind games from mak and let him get away with it!!!?!!
okay uday ...you need to find something to DO!!!!!!
It'd okay nithin you can start doing something when you get the ABILITY to do anything...anything
and a bit of a typo ... it was supposed to read "clarification ...only the last point (no .4) and maybe the robot thing was a bit UNcalled for(you started it)..."
Hehe ... 18 brilliant comments.
Mayank man ... posts and comments like these make me come back to your blog so regularly :D
Hehe ...
And again, hehe :D
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT !!! this is really hilarious. !!
anyways, would like to add my views on this fight. I disagree with Rajeev that blogging is a waste of time. Its just about putting up your idea forward.
but mayank, seriously, next time u start cribbing about India or the system or anything else, plz put forward a solution too. Writing a blog wont prove that ur concerned about the whole system, or prove that u r inviting a matured discussion and trying to bring a revolution . It just shows that ur frustated about this whole system,( which is obvious, we all are also fed up ) but u dont have a solution, or are unable to come up with something .
hey mayank , BTW, u should thank Rajeev. Coz of him , this is the first time u must have got 20 comments and many more hits on ur page .
what if all this is ploy between Rajeev and Mayank to increase his readership ???
hey this is hilarious man!!!! keep doin this u guys(rajeev and mak).... btw i dont agree wit rajeev... well people blog cos they like doin it if u dont(rajeev) then *****... sorry read ur blog pretty late...
Yo... tell me all these comments haven't intimidated you from further posting!?!
Callin' for an update!:)
hehe. Hilarious. Well, some people never get it:D
And, all those guys going on strike: Thank you guys. They are not fighting for themselves, but they are fighting for students like us, who are still in School. They are fighting, for our Future. Thank you guys...
P.S. Keep Fighting:D
Your enthusiasm for developing your talents is truly inspirational.I hope you will continue to share your post same in future articles too.
