Have you ever been in a position of great responsibility; where your every thought, every judgement, every decision mattered and made a difference to a life? I was recently bestowed with such a responsibility. And it was quite a position to be in.
It was an overwhelming feeling. There was a feeling of power associated with it...the kind that corrupts. But you just have to keep reminding yourself...of your cause...your duties.
These are the times when your values... your good sense come in. You cant be biased by the world or fooled by the lies. You have not only to see the words....hear the words...but look for the deep meaning...the hidden meaning.
See through the people who are selfish and the people who are genuine.
I had to over see a few candidate interviews. I had to make the right choice...not the obvious choice...not the biased choice...the RIGHT choice.
I seemed that the choice was obvious...politically correct...patriotically correct...but I still had to decide by seeing all the other candidates and factors.
And just when you thought you saw the perfect candidate ...another, more, or equally promising, talented, gifted, competent candidate would walk in front of you and confuse you.
You just had to see what you liked and decide.
So after some careful listening, thinking, WATCHING...I cast my Miss World vote....
...and thus ended my duties.
*sigh* what a relief...I hope I made the right choice

wow JSea a response more serious than i was expecting ...but yes...life is about decisions, priorities and prioritising those decisions.....if it werent you would just be a passive spectator and going through everything handed to you....it will get boring after a while.....well i have lots to say ...which might go into great philosophy..J sea email and then we can discuss and then i can make a new blog on that...

I was biting my nails off, nervous for the poor candidates, esp. since it seemed like your vote was going to make a great difference....hehe..little did I know it was deciding the more deserving Miss World!! Nice Blog!=)PS: Oui, mes amis....life is all about making the right choices...so goodluck with that (as it is, I have a tough time with multiple-choice exam questions..imagine the headache when it comes to making the right decisions for our lives)!
